We are one of the few remaining family owned and operated mortuaries serving our community. This leads us to believe the most valuable thing we own cannot be seen or touched - it is the goodwill of people we have served and their recommendation of us to family and friends.

Most people are not aware Colorado is the only state that does not require a license for funeral directors or embalmers. There are no inspections or oversight by any licensing authority. When you select Horan & McConaty, you will be cared for by people who are professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. We offer continuing services in the months ahead through our bereavement support coordinator, Jennifer McBride and the Heartlight Center.

We meet the federal standards and are proud to provide services to members of all branches of the military, and are most frequently the choice when death is in the line-of-duty.

We emphasize personal service, where in most cases you will have the same person for your at-need arrangement following through with your service. Most of our funeral directors have earned the title of Mortuary Science Practitioner. These credentials are as stringent as most state licensing requirements.  We comfortably carry out services for all religious denominations and cultural beliefs.
